Upcoming Maintenance at Recycle Center and DRO

The City of Durango Recycle Center will be closed Saturday, September 8th through Monday, September 10th for scheduled maintenance repair work. Learn more here.

As part of the planned improvements to the Durango-La Plata County Airport (DRO), during the week of September 17-21 the main airport parking lot will be closed. During the maintenance project, parking will be available in the Credit Card Lot located south of
the terminal. Learn more here.

Did you know?

Wouldn’t it be nice if runway paving costs were this low today! On September 5, 1963—just 55 years ago—the Durango-La Plata County Airport Commission rejected a bid of $525 for blacktop work at the Airport. The cost was considered too high in relation to the benefits to be derived.
