Durango, CO: Friends of the Durango Public Library raised almost $4,500 for the library at its annual Spring Books Sale over the weekend.
“Our friends did outstanding work with the book sale,” said Library Director Luke Alvey-Henderson.
Friends of the Library is a local nonprofit that sponsors year-round programs for adults, children, and teens. The group also provides funding for the annual Literary Festival and its guest authors, runs workshops for small businesses, and has purchased toddler-friendly computers for the children’s library.
The next Book Sale Weekend will be July 14-15. For more information visit the city’s website.
