Durango, CO: The city of Durango will host a virtual public meeting Wednesday, March 15
, for a proposed development of up to 204 apartments on Florida Road.
The Zoom meeting is scheduled for March 15 from 5 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend this informational meeting regarding the proposed development at 800, 830 and 900 Florida Road ("23-00016 Sophia Annexation and Conceptual Plan - 900 Florida Road"), where J Street Properties of Dallas has proposed building between 194 and 204 apartments.
City staff and representatives from J Street will discuss the proposal and answer questions. The meeting is for information purposes only; no decisions about the project will be made.
This meeting will be the first of no fewer than five opportunities for the public to comment. Two rounds of public hearings before the Planning Commission and City Council are required. The tentative meeting schedule:
- March 15 – public information meeting.
- April 24 – Planning Commission hearing.
- June 20 – City Council hearing.
- Two additional public hearings are planned for later in 2023.
