Join the City of Durango for several great community events this Fourth of July weekend.
Events include:
Friday, July 1
- Music and Movies in the Park – 7 p.m. at Buckley Park Stillwater youth bands will perform, with a screening of the Sandlot to follow.
Saturday, July 2
- BBQ, Bulls and Beer Competition – 12 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the La Plata County Fairgrounds. Gates open at 10 a.m.
- Street Dance and Drone Light Show – 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Durango Transit Center. Live music featuring M.C. Curry Organ Trio and Desert Child.
Sunday, July 3
- Rockin’ on the River – 4 p.m. at the Powerhouse Elder Grown will perform.
Monday, July 4
- Rotary Club Gourmet Breakfast – 7:30 a.m. 10 11:30 p.m. at Rotary Park.
- Freedom 5k – 9 a.m., begins at Rotary Park
- Southwest Civic Winds and Durango Choral Society Concert – 9:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Rotary Park.
- BBQ and Bands Picnic – 12p.m. to 4:30p.m. Live music at Buckley Park by Special Guests and Kirk James Band. The event will include a fundraiser for Building Homes for Heroes
- Stars and Stripes – 5p.m. on Main Avenue
- Lyle Lovett Concert- 7:30 p.m. at the La Plata County Fairgrounds. The event will include a fundraiser for KSUT Public Radio.
