25th and Junction Street Repaving, Restriping and Signage
The City's Multimodal Transportation Plan calls for safety and multimodal improvements along Junction Street as Tier 1, high priority project. As such, a roadway project was identified in 2017 to improved the roadway along 25th and Junction Street from West Second Avenue to the City limits to incorporate traffic calming measures through narrowed travel lanes and the addition of dedicated bike lanes.

What's the plan?
The 25th and Junction Street roadway from West Second Avenue to the City limits will be repaved and restriped with bike lanes and a lane reconfiguration. In addition, Safe Routes to School grant funds were secured in 2017 to install a Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) at the W 25th Street and W 2nd Avenue intersection.
Status
A public meeting was held on April 11, 2017 to review the design for a repaving and restriping along Junction Street from West Second Avenue to the City limits. The City milled and repaved the Junction St roadway from W 28th Street to the City limits June 28 to July 7, 2017. Restriping of the roadway along Junction St from W 2nd Avenue to the City limits was complete by the end of July, 2017.
Next Steps
The roadway along W 25th Street from W 3rd Avenue to W 28th Street will be milled and repaved, and then restriped, and a Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) will be installed at W 25th Street and W 2nd Avenue
