Chapman Hill is a small, in-town ski and skate facility. During the winter, a refrigerated rink provides excellent ice skating. During the summer, the rink is used for rollerblading. The pavilion at Chapman Hill has concessions, room rentals, and a sitting area. Birthday parties are our specialty. Skating lessons and leagues are offered seasonally. There are several youth and adult hockey leagues that have ever-increasing numbers.

The City of Durango is coordinating with San Juan Basin Public Health and La Plata County to take measures to ensure our staff and community members are not exposed to or contributing to the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). Chapman Hill has limited hours for public skate and children’s birthday parties. Please see the Chapman schedules below.
Chapman Ice Rink Opens Friday October 2, 2020!
Chapman Hill Ice Rink will open Friday, October 2 with public skating from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. and an outdoor gear swap from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Ice rink admission is $7 for all ages, and skate rentals are $3.
