Neighborhood Watch / Business Watch Programs
The Durango Police Department is proud to offer citizens of our great city a Neighborhood Watch and Business Watch Program. Our community programs officers, upon request, will assist community members and business owners with steps to start one of the programs.
The program is designed to educate citizens on being the eyes and ears for area law enforcement and to work as a small community within your respective neighborhood. Business Watch is very similar to the Neighborhood Watch Program with the exception of providing assistance to employers and employees with various ways to deal with situations that may arise during the course of daily work schedules. Some examples are shoplifting, irate customers, and security to name a few. Officers would be glad to speak to anyone with other requests for training/talks.
