The City of Durango Utilities Department will be overseeing a water flow test at the corner of E. College Dr. and E. 2nd Ave. This will be affecting businesses and homes between E. College Dr. heading south along E. 2nd Ave. to E. 5th St. The water test may cause momentary decreases in water pressure, and have the potential to make the water look cloudy. If this occurs please flush your water line by turning your cold water on until the water comes out clear. Typically this takes between 15 – 30 minutes. 

Drivers, bikers and pedestrians are encouraged to exercise caution, follow all construction signage and flagger instructions.

The emergency water main repair along Columbine Dr. has been completed and water has been restored to the affected area.

If you are experiencing brown or cloudy water, please flush your water line by turning your cold water on until the water comes out clear. Typically, this takes about 15 - 20 minutes.

The scheduled curb-stop repair along E. 5th Ave. will expand the water service interruption to stop water flow. The service interruption will expand south along E. 5th Ave to E. 1st St. and east along E. 2nd St to E. 6th Ave.
