Schedule of Events and Activities

Listening Sessions – August 20, 2019

The listening sessions will be held with two groups:

1) People with lived experience and at risk of homelessness (12:30-3 p.m.)

2) Housed neighbors and local businesses (5:30-8 p.m.)

Up to 20 people may participate in each session. PATH members are actively recruiting a diverse group of people with different experiences and perspectives. If you are interested in joining the conversation, please contact Meagan Picard or any PATH member that you feel comfortable contacting.

PATH Open House at St. Mark’s Church, 910 E 3rd Ave., Durango – August 21, 2019, 3:30-7:30 p.m.

Having heard a lot about the divided views of community members about how our community should address homelessness here, PATH members now want to know: How can we find some common ground that addresses the wide array of hopes and concerns that are important to so many  of us?

Please join PATH members and others in the community at this gallery-style open house, generously hosted by St. Mark’s Church, to:

  • Explore the numbers that help to describe the homelessness situation in Durango and beyond
  • Learn about some policies at the national level that contribute to the rising number of people who are living without stable homes
  • Find out more about efforts to address homelessness in the greater Durango area in recent years
  • Discover what people had to say during the listening sessions
  • Share your ideas with PATH members and others in the community about how we might make a plan of action that best meets everyone’s needs
